Creating Systems for Efficient and Intentional Collaborations with Angela Tan | Listeners to Leads

As entrepreneurs, especially those of us juggling multiple roles, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the daily tasks and minutiae of running a business. We rely on our memory to keep track of everything, which often leads to missed opportunities and wasted time chasing down details. This is especially true when it comes to keeping track of what podcasts we appear on and when and how to promote them. But by creating systems to keep track if the information for us, we’re able to spend less mental energy on tracking down the details and more on genuinely promoting our appearances and generating revenue for our businesses. This week, episode 145 of Listeners to Leads is about creating systems for efficient and intentional collaborations!

How to Reduce Stress and Save Time Through Automation in Your Business

As entrepreneurs, especially those of us juggling multiple roles, it’s all too easy to get overwhelmed by the daily tasks and minutiae of running a business. We rely on our memory to keep track of everything, which often leads to missed opportunities and wasted time chasing down details.

Systems expert Angela Tan joined me on my podcast recently to share how implementing simple automations can dramatically improve efficiency and reduce stress levels. Angela should know – as a busy mom of two young boys, she relies heavily on systems to keep her sanity!

Tracking Collaborations Effectively

Angela explained how she was struggling to remember to promote the various podcast appearances, summits, and other collaborations she participated in. Too many were slipping through the cracks.

To solve this, she created a simple Airtable database to easily track upcoming collaborations. Now she can see at a glance when each event goes live and strategically plan her promotions. The database also syncs to her Google Calendar for easy visualization of her schedule.

This small change means Angela never misses an opportunity to share content with her audience. She’s freed up from trying to remember details in her head and can focus on higher-level tasks.

Streamlining the Sales Process

Angela also discussed automating her sales process using tools like Honeybook. Potential clients can now fill out an intake form, which automatically books them a call on her calendar.

After calls, contract and onboarding templates mean just a few clicks sends new clients all the information they need. This reduces friction for clients and saves Angela time normally spent chasing details. More leads convert while requiring less of her attention, so she can spend more time with her family.

Starting Small and Seeing Big Results

Even small automations can yield tremendous results if done strategically. Angela encourages entrepreneurs to start by dedicating just one hour a week to simplifying one task.

Get curious – look for repetitive processes you can systematize, like templating emails. Or streamline parts of your sales funnel. No need for a full overhaul. Taking small, consistent steps is sure to pay off.

As busy entrepreneurs, our most valuable resources are time and mental bandwidth. Implementing smart automations is an investment that frees us up to focus on higher-level strategic work. Have you identified even one small change you can make this week to work smarter?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed trying to juggle it all, I hope Angela’s insights inspire you to get curious about the automations possible in your business. Working smarter through systems is key to sustainable success and sanity!
